We are seeking to hire a candidate for our Temporary Help (9902) Video & Evidence Analyst position.

Location: SEPTA Headquarters

Hourly Rate of Pay: $33.66

 

 

 

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

In a temporary status, performs takes related to analyses and harvesting video and other data evidence from systems, reports, and other documents by the Legal Division in support of the Authority's position of defense against claims/litigation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performs analyses and support activities relevant to Video Evidence Unit (VEU) goals and program/project assignments and objectives.
  2. Executes the search inititation, video content review entering into video retrieval database, copying at DVD, and cataloging/stroing of identified video of interest from Legal's division's fixed and mobile video systemsView Stations; or required, by field-side visitation and retreval from target locations/vehicles throughout the Authority's property, or contractor facilities.
  3. Performs tasks related to analyses including but not limited to the ongoing development and population of spreadsheets and databases, the identification and reporting of related VEU performance, resource utilization, production and trendincies, and other ad hoc management reporting assignments.
  4. Conducts electronic and manaual methods research and captures data related to previously reported or unreported incidents - otherwise known as "Tracers", and used for SEPTA's defense against unreported and/or fraudlent claims.
  5. Complies with and facilitates all internal plocies, procedures and matters of applicable law as it relates to the professional and ethical use of evidence; specifically video technology and associated intellectual property, its capture, retnetion, storage and preservation methods and practices.
  6. Assists in coordination of, and conducts operational/report analyses training in support of other VEU assigned personnel/contractors.
  7. Participates in the monitoring of VEU systems performance, other in-house agency and third party support compliance requirements and expectations.
  8. Proactively montior Control Center/Police communications systems and daily reports as a search initiation tool, in advance of formal video capture request.
  9. Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree plus three (3) years demonstrated supervisory, analytical or administrative work experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e., two (2) years of relevant experience to one (1) year of formal post high school education) may be considered in lieu of the above listed requirements.
  • Basic to intermediate PC skills required in Microsoft Office Suite - WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK, required. Experience with SEPTA mainframe, Mobile View, Fleet Manager applications preferred.
  • Understanding of basic business relationships and confidentiality principles. Demonstarted experience working with confidental issues and material in a discreet manner is required.
  • Must posses excellent oral and written skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a diverse, demanding environment. Excel and writing skills, to include grammar, punctutation and spelling required.
  • Exactness and attention to detail in reviewing/preparing records and reports, avoidance of error required.
  • Annual execution of confidentiality agreement requirement.
  • Vaild Driver's License required.
  • Transportation operational experience preferred.
  • Ability to work alone which includes field-site visitations and retrival assignments.
  • Must be able to work day or night shifts, weekend and holidays.
