We are seeking to hire a candidate for our Risk Management Administrator (9007) position.

Salary Range: $82,342.00-$102,908.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Supports Finance, Corporate Treasury Department’s Risk Finance team by identifying and developing recommendations to reduce and or transfer financial risk facing SEPTA. Supports the Risk Finance team’s insurance underwriting process. Ensures exposure data is accurate and up to date. Manages a small inventory of specialized claims which include but are not limited to large property losses, employment practices related claims, cyber incidents, and other non-traditional property & casualty matters. Mitigates operational risk by preparing and authoring insurance requirements for contractors, vendors, and legal agreements. Performs analysis of contractor insurance certificates.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates SEPTA’s insurance underwriting process by collecting updated financial data which includes but is not limited to: payroll, employee head count, revenue, passenger counts, trips by mode of transportation, inventory of rolling stock, amount of track used by mode by specific line.
- Coordinates insured value changes for all the Authority’s insurance programs, including property, builders’ risk, railroad protective, and captive insurance programs.
- Tracks all insurance policies, their policy values, broker compensation, and renewal dates.
- Facilitates the completion of insurance applications for the Authority’s commercial insurance renewals.
- Manages a small diary of non-traditional property/casualty claims which include but are not limited to; employment practices, cyber incidents, large property losses, and other miscellaneous claims as directed by SEPTA’s Risk Manager.
- Prepares confidential reporting for Equal Employment and Management liability.
- Facilitates the insurance evaluation process that is conducted on all material, equipment, service procurements, and construction contracts in accordance with established business process.
- Reviews and tracks the insurance evaluation requests and provides end users with the required insurance coverage and associated limits including the evaluation of insurance submittals.
- Maintain storage of insurance determinations and insurance certificates per department best practices.
- Facilitates processes associated with SEPTA’s Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) including contractor/subcontractor enrollment & compliance and tracking of insurance policies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Performs and documents due diligence on contractual insurance evaluation requirements.
- Participate in on-site Construction inspections with insurance and loss control personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and five years (or a degree in Risk Management and three years) of related experience which includes experience in property & casualty insurance underwriting, brokerage, and/or health & employee benefits consulting required.
- Completion and/or progress towards professional designations related to risk management, commercial insurance, and/or health & employee benefits (ARM, CPCU, CEBS, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with captive insurance programs or Construction Wrap-Up Programs (OCIPs or CCIPs) is a plus.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Must be able to travel to outlying SEPTA locations, construction sites, and be able to ascend and descend ladders.
