The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is the sixth largest transportation system in the United States, with a vast network of fixed route services including bus, subway/elevated, trackless trolley, light rail, and commuter rail serving a 2,200 square mile service region.      

We are currently seeking a Manager, HRIS Systems & Reporting (7341) in the HR/Compensation/HRIS Department.

Salary Range: Min: $92,716.00 - Mid: $115,908.00 - Max: $139,100.00

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

The Manager of HRIS Systems and Reporting will manage the provision of functional, administrative, technical and end user support for the Cloud Based HRIS Suite of SAP SuccessFactors, which currently includes the Core HR, Applicant Tracking (ATS), Performance Management, Organizational Charting, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) modules. This position will possess detailed knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors functionality, configuration options, integration points, and best practices.  Oversees a team of HR Technical Analysts which will provide a centralized approach to report development and training for HR Staff, Senior Management and End Users (e.g., Division Administrators and Department Clerks).  This position will assume the work stream lead role for the integration of the SuccessFactors system with the INFOR Financial Suite including the Payroll module with a 2022 “go-live” launch date. 

DISCIPLINE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversees the team of HR Technical Analysts to provide HRIS area support of functions and the provision of functional, administrative, technical and end user support.
  2. Serves as the main contact with SAP and/or SAP implementation partner to resolve system problems.  Submits and tracks ticket items, monitors hours worked by SAP implementation partner in post-production support and training of team members.
  3. Coordinates the resolution of Onboarding integration issues.
  4. Analyzes upcoming SAP SuccessFactors system upgrades and recommends course of action (timing of implementation/testing prior to implementation of upgrade).  Regularly reviews SAP Notes and SAP Knowledge Base Articles (KBA’s) to maximize system efficiency and minimize problems.
  5. Analyzes and corrects problems within Work Flow Approval paths, Roles, Dynamic Roles and other Permission based issues. Works with the IT Team to ensure that requested modifications for employee access are properly changed based on departmental requests.
  6. Prepares reports and coordinates with the Manager of Compensation Administration ad hoc revisions to ensure that employee or position change requests do not get stalled when approvers vacate positions within the approval paths.
  7. Oversees the production and maintenance of audit reports to ensure that data in position records match employee records when changes are made.  Ensure that data changes within Foundation Objects “synch” to position and employee records appropriately.
  8. While in parallel with the existing INFOR mainframe system, produces reports to audit and correct mismatched data, oversees the integration of New Hire and Termination data into the INFOR mainframe system.
  9. Assumes the work stream lead role for the integration of the SuccessFactors system with the INFOR Financial Suite including the Payroll module with a 2022 “go-live” launch date.
  10. Works with the Information Technology team in ensuring that current employee-related production reports or integrations to downstream systems in the mainframe environment are converted into production with either SuccessFactors or INFOR Cloud Suite.
  11. Oversees the development of reports for HR department and end users including Senior Management team members (dashboard style with limited modifications), divisional administrators (moderately involved to manipulate) and HR reports (including cross module canvassing reports) involving a higher level of knowledge and skill to program/set up.
  12. Trains HR department team members and end users to understand how to generate and modify reports or exports of data in SuccessFactors.
  13. Oversees the production and revision of the SAP Knowledge Base Resources including Quick Learning Guides (QRG’s) and other training materials are up-to-date in Base HR and Recruitment areas.
  14. Oversees the ad hoc training of new staff members and re-training of staff where procedures change or recurring problems arise, which includes Division Administrators, Department Clerks, Managers and HR representatives including Compensation/HRIS and Recruitment.
  15. Assists LMS Coordinators and LMS System Administrator with report development activities which involve understanding of the Core HR system including jobs, positions, and management centers/department/divisional hierarchies.
  16. Assists Performance Improvement Plan System Administrator with system-related activities.
  17. Assist Career Development System Administrator with system-related activities.
  18. Trains SEPTA employees in the use of Excel to maximize the ability to utilize data obtained from SuccessFactors reports. Serves as Acting Senior Director, Compensation/ HRIS and backs up Manager, Compensation Administration as required.
  19. Performs other duties as required. 
     

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business, or related field required with eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience working in a HRIS related position including technical knowledge of HRIS systems which includes a HRIS implementation and/or migrations required.
  • Advanced post-Baccalaureate experience may substitute for up to four (4) years of listed experience (1 year of education equating to 2 years of relevant experience).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HRIS table maintenance required.
  • Must demonstrate expert-level analytical skills utilizing Excel or similar programs which include VLookups, macros- and pivot tables knowledge and experience.  This knowledge would be at a level to train other users either in an informal (one to one) or in a formal classroom setting.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Organizational ability to plan, formulate, and execute policies and practices required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proven analytical ability to solve complex problems required.
  • Prior transportation/transit and/or unionized environment experience preferred.
  • Prior SAP SuccessFactors, INFOR Cloud or Cloud based HRIS system experience preferred.
