We are seeking to hire candidates for our Junior Capital Project Scheduler (5057).

Salary Range: $70,668.00-$88,348.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
SEPTA’s project controls team currently supports an annual capital budget of approximately $800MM comprising a portfolio of approximately 150 active capital construction projects. The project controls team focuses on reporting key metrics to management and providing critical feedback to project management on contractor performance.
The Junior Capital Project Scheduler supports the Project Controls team in evaluating and controlling capital construction projects. This position will analyze contractor schedule submittals with guidance from the scheduling team to recommend approval, rejection, or corrective actions to the schedules. In addition, this position will support the Manager, Schedule and Claims in the review and analysis of construction contractor claims. These efforts are intended to provide project managers with the metrics and the information to engage contractors in an evaluation of construction efforts and performance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the review of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule submittals for capital construction projects using Oracle P6 project management software
- Assists in reviews of baseline cost-loaded schedules’ and the corresponding value line breakdowns
- Analyzes contractor submitted claims and assists in the development of SEPTA’s claims position under supervision of the Manager, Scheduling and Claims
- Assists in the review of time impact analyses for extensions of contract time for delays, change order work, and other third-party claims to support the Manager
- Assists in the review of project design schedules and deliverables for contract conformance.
- Develops and distributes monthly scheduling reports for the Scheduling Team
- Integrates project schedule dates to the master program schedule as needed
- Analyzes key scheduling performance indicators across capital construction projects
- Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree Required and at least, 3 years of experience required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate’s Degree and four (4) years’ experience OR a High School Diploma and 6 years of experience), may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
- Must have solid analytical skills to conduct various analysis and reconciliations of financial and statistical report data.
- Must be highly organized with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent analytical, inter-personal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office required.
