We are seeking to hire candidates for our Accountant (5033) - Accounts Receivable.

Job Grade: SAM 36
Salary Range: $57,512.00-$71,890.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Accounts Receivable
Responsible for various billing and general accounting duties.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable
- Performs financial report analysis and updates as needed.
- Maintains appropriate records and other source data to facilitate the preparation of the monthly andquarterly analysis.
- Prepares various financial journals during monthly close.
- Prepares third party billings to government agencies, private companies and public agencies.
- Reviews and reconciles weekly invoices and cash applications.
- Assists with daily cash preparations as needed.
- Provides support to others within the department.
- Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Accounts Receivable
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required and two (2) years experience in an accounting environment required.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word Software required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Excellent analytical ability required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplishing duties and goals.
